About the Role
As an Elementary School Language Arts Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with our motivated students to continue to build upon the knowledge foundation laid in the elementary years and delve deeper into each subject.The ideal candidate will create a literacy-rich classroom that fosters a love of reading, writing, and language while building strong foundational skills. This teacher will guide students in developing comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and communication abilities through engaging lessons and projects that make learning meaningful and fun.
You will also
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the schools curriculum and grade-level standards.
- Teach reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary through differentiated instruction and hands-on learning.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and confidence in literacy.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Integrate technology, literature, and interactive activities to enhance engagement.
- Provide timely feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents regarding progress and goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and maintain a positive school culture.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school community events.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid California teaching credential (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of elementary teaching experience, preferably in Language Arts or literacy-focused instruction.
- Strong understanding of reading and writing development at the elementary level.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for inspiring young learners to become confident readers and writers.
