Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (36-hour Guaranteed)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for a 13-week day shift assignment in Chanute, KS. This position offers routine scheduled shifts without on-call requirements, providing stable and consistent work hours. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in both OB nursing and MedSurg care, as occasional float to MedSurg units may be required based on census.

Shift Details:

• Day shifts (specific hours to be confirmed)

• 36 Guaranteed Hours

Requirements & Certifications:

• Current RN license (state-specific)

• Certifications required:

  • Fetal Monitoring

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

• Previous MedSurg nursing experience is mandatory due to occasional patient assignments outside OB.

• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

• Scrub color: Any color scrubs accepted.

Role Expectations:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in Labor & Delivery unit with a focus on maternal and fetal health.

• Float to MedSurg as needed when OB census is low, utilizing prior MedSurg skills.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR.

• Uphold hospital policies and standards for patient safety and care quality.
