Job Title:Instructional Design SpecialistDepartment:Arts and Sciences | Evolution Ecology and Organismal Biology

The Instructional Design Specialist assists in the development and coordination of all Evolution and Ecology courses, to include participating in all aspects of planning, implementation, and assessment of those courses. The position will collaborate with instructional teams to discuss student feedback and course redesign while working with faculty and staff to appropriately operate within the course management system, including management of digital course materials and deadlines. They will be responsible for the management of learning outcomes and building consistency of assessment tools across offerings. They will be tasked with developing and maintaining the shared digital library of course materials for laboratory/recitation instruction to support lecture instructors in their development of course materials & assessments to ensure consistency of effort and focus. The position will also be responsible for reviewing existing and developing additional, consistent course materials, lab protocols, and lab manuals to encourage better student engagement.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Additional Education Desired

Masters degree in Biological Sciences or Education preferred.

Required Qualifications

2 years of relevant experience required.

Desired Qualifications

2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this job profile is $55,700-72,700. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.

This is a three year term position.
