Position Summary: Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager - Hunting will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and acquiring new accounts within the Food and Beverage Solutions platform, playing a critical role in driving ofi's growth strategy. This position is focused on expanding our customer base by proactively seeking out prospects, generating leads, and converting them into long-term business relationships. As a strategic sales contributor in our Food and Beverage division, you will drive revenue growth by introducing innovative food and beverage solutions (such as spice blends, nut fillings, beverages, etc.) to new customers, developing and executing sales strategies that open opportunities across product platforms. You will leverage cross-functional and product-platform teams to deliver differentiated ingredient solutions tailored to new customer needs.

The ideal candidate for this hunting role is an entrepreneurial self-starter, passionate about discovering new market opportunities and building relationships from the ground up. You will demonstrate the ability to initiate contact, engage prospects, lead negotiations, and navigate the sales process. Collaboration with internal teams will be key to optimizing ofi's product portfolio, innovation pipeline, customer service, and supply chain to address new customer requirements. Success in this role depends on strong prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to convert leads to impactful, profitable partnerships.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and acquire new key accounts, driving sales growth and increasing overall business margins.
  • Develop and implement proactive strategies for lead generation, prospecting, and new account engagement to exceed sales targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle for new customers, from initial outreach to closing contracts, utilizing internal resources and knowledge of competitive landscapes.
  • Conduct thorough market research to uncover potential customer needs and opportunities for unique, differentiated solutions.
  • Initiate and lead negotiations for new business contracts, focusing on growing sales volume, margins, and portfolio expansion.
  • Establish strong relationships with key decision makers and senior management at targeted new accounts, building trust and credibility.
  • Present tailored solutions that align with each prospect's business objectives, demonstrating value and differentiation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product development, marketing, logistics, customer service, etc.) to ensure operational readiness and seamless onboarding experience for new accounts.
  • Regularly report on pipeline progress, new business development activities, and strategic adjustments needed to achieve growth objectives.
  • Drive excellence in contract execution, customer service, and working capital management for newly acquired accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support ongoing business development needs.

Position Requirement s:

  • A bachelor's degree is required. Candidates should possess at least six years of significant account management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales within the food and beverage ingredients and solutions sector, ideally managing major accounts in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), private label, co-manufacturing, or retail markets.
  • Strong strategic mindset and business acumen, with the capability to create and implement account plans that drive profitable growth and achieve both business and sales targets. Exceptional analytical abilities are essential.
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills, utilizing effective strategies to address challenges, evaluate alternatives, and secure sales agreements that result in customer commitment and satisfaction.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present information and ideas to diverse audiences at all organizational levels, including delivering impactful presentations tailored to audience needs.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining influential, long-term relationships with key accounts and internal stakeholders to ensure value delivery and fulfillment of customer commitments.
  • Highly self-driven and results-oriented, excelling in fast-paced environments and adapting effectively by embracing change, exploring innovative solutions, and collaborating for successful outcomes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% as required.

Competitive Compensation & Benefits Package:

The pay for this role ranges from $ 95,000 - 126 ,000 and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
