Meet Your Account Manager – Jodi Clouse

Where are you from originally?

JC: Angola, IN.

 

What is your favorite thing about your job?

JC: I love working with my clients and helping them to solve their hiring needs.

 

In your opinion, what makes iHire different from other job boards/career platforms? 

JC: iHire’s industry-specific focus helps employers find more qualified candidates in this difficult hiring market. I really enjoy hearing from all of our employers who find their perfect hires.

 

What did you do before joining the iHire team?

JC: I have had the good fortune of working in a wide range of industries and rewarding positions, teaching middle school language arts for many years before transitioning into financial services and insurance.

What recruiting/hiring trends excite you? 

JC: I am excited about working with all of my customers to create hiring plans that will help them in all aspects of recruiting. iHire is always evolving to improve our platform to best serve our employers.

 

What do you do in your free time? 

JC: I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being on the lake in the summer, traveling, cooking/baking, and reading. 

 

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

JC: I wanted to be a psychologist or a social worker.

 

What’s your favorite movie or book?

JC: My favorite movie is Secondhand Lions. I love the storyline and the humor. My favorite book is whatever one I am currently reading. I can’t pick just one!

 

What’s the best piece of advice you would give someone who is not having any luck finding the right candidate for their job? 

JC: My best advice in that situation is to make sure that the job ad is inviting to the job seeker. No one wants to work for a boring company that writes a boring ad!
