Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, fun, and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our small but busy outpatient practice, located inside a fitness center. We pride ourselves on personalized care, private treatment rooms, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients.
Our clinic offers advanced techniques including Dry Needling, Graston, Cupping, Shock Wave, and more — alongside traditional therapies such as gait training, balance work, manual therapy, and modalities. We also provide private performance training for weekenders, high school, college, and professional athletes.
Duties
Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
Conduct therapy sessions including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in discharge planning for smooth patient transitions.
Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in physical therapy.
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA (temporary/pending licenses accepted).
Knowledge of therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and home health preferred.
Familiarity with discharge planning processes and medical terminology is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Compassion, empathy, and strong patient care skills.
Physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting or moving patients.
