Join Our Team as a Construction Estimator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review bids with ownership two days before the bid date
• Attend pre-bid and award meetings
• Review contracts for issues such as LD, insurance, payment, and clauses
• Perform take-offs and obtain material quotes
• Request feedback from supervisors and foremen for specific tasks or material orders
• Prepare estimating schedules and track sales awards weekly
• Track lead and estimating pipeline, as well as jobs bidding through Builder's Exchange
• Review bid documents, specs, soils, addenda, etc.
• Attend all pre-con turn-over meetings with project managers and supervisors
• Update and maintain cost history library

Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze data, calculate costs, and identify potential cost-saving measures
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
• Effective communication skills with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and industry standards
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, and cost control

Nice to Have:

• Experience with project controls and change orders
• Knowledge of construction management software such as Bluebeam and PlanSwift
• Background in civil engineering or structural design
• Familiarity with Sage Timberline and construction documentation

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $100,000 annually, along with benefits including dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k), flexible schedules, vacation leave, and paid time off.
