Construction Superintendent

  • Thoroughly and completely know and understand the contract, each subcontract, and the plans and specifications to assist the Project Manager in developing the on-site procedures.
  • Provide leadership to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with on-site staff and to promote a positive project environment.
  • Manage site logistics Conduct preconstruction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and superintendents prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues.
  • Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety,  quality and/or inhibit the  Logical progress of work.
  • Perform the regular paperwork duties, including keeping daily records (daily reports) of field activity, including manpower, deliverables, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure job safety requirements are understood and implemented by all project personnel and trade contractors, working with the safety support personnel as a resource.
  • Establish the punch list process and close-out procedures with the project team.
  • Maintain the project "as-built" drawings on a daily basis. 
  • Assemble and forward project closeout documents that include O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties.
